Hydrics

Hydrics is an integrated software package to design, calculate and plot drainage networks. It is entirely integrated in Cadics and can be used independently or with road design to design road drainage. The digital ground model (which can represent the entire region or simply the road surface) allows excavation volumes to be calculated.

Horizontal Alignment

In the early phases of a project, the network is often linked to one or more roads. Its position will be defined relative to the axes, profile points or other geometric entities. They will thus automatically follow the project, both horizontally and vertically if any of its elements are moved.
Manholes can be generated automatically at equidistant points or at specific chainage points. Automatically generated elements can always be dissociated from their controling elements and be moved or otherwise modified manually.
Any or all elements of the network can be entered independently of the road design project. In this case, manholes are positioned manually and linked by straight or curved pipe segments.

Vertical Alignment

Each pipe segment has a constant slope. It is possible to define different vertical values for the entry points, exit points and depth of each manhole. A large number of construction functions (such as minimum depth, minimum slope, etc) are provided to accelerate the integration of the network into its natural environment.

Element Library

Element types containing specifications (shape, dimensions, thickness, materials, etc) of manholes and pipes can be stored in a library. Elements can be added, modified or deleted at will. Various types of manhole, pipe or open-air drains are provided with the basic package.

Output

Plotter output comprise horizontal layout, long and cross-sections. The basic layout and symbols can be easily customized. Road and drainage projects can be plotted separately or combined on the same document.

Flow Calculations

Hydrics can verify and design linear and tree-shaped drainage networks (storm waters and sewers). The results include speed, flow and capacity reserve.
